Information: The Kingston Bridge was opened in 1970. The structure is a critical component of the Central Scotland Motorway Network which is maintained by Amey on behalf of Transport Scotland. This talk will illustrate the history of the bridge, look at some of the refurbishment works carried out as well as the day to day maintenance required to keep this crucial structure operational. Stephen McGuigan, Senior Engineer with Amey will take you on a unique 'journey' inside the bridge from one side to the other using fascinating video footage and archive photographs.
