The National Trust for Scotland - Traditional Stonemasonry Display a Demons

Address: Glasgow Green, Beside The People's Palace and the Doulton Fountain

Information: Since 1991 the National Trust for Scotland has operated a stonemasonry workshop at Culzean Castle. The aim of these workshops is to carry out repairs to the fabric of Culzean and other Trust sites using tradtional methods, to produce lime mortars for use within the Trust and to train stonemasons within the framework of a traditional craft apprenticeship. We are delighted to welcome a small team of these professional craftspeople to demonstrate traditional techniques and tools of stonemasonry for your viewing pleasure! They will be happy to answer your questions and there will be some limited opportunity for the public to try their hand at the techniques being demonstrated.
