Information: The Glasgow House project is a unique partnership between City Building, Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) and PRP Architects to deliver sustainable, energy-efficient homes that will reduce Glasgow’s carbon footprint and its impact on the environment. Visitors to the Glasgow House will be able to see for themselves the innovative use of space and light to create these attractive, affordable homes. City Building apprentices have also constructed “mock” bedrooms on-site to show what Social Work Services’ elderly care homes of the future will be like and visitors will be able to look round these en-suite rooms and appreciate the well thought-out features and facilities. In addition, GHA’s Big Red Truck will be on-site, an interactive, mobile exhibition that tells the story of the transformation of Glasgow’s housing since stock was transferred from Glasgow City Council to GHA in 2003. It includes: - a touch sensitive information shelf; an interactive wall featuring stories and pictures; a regeneration game suitable for all ages and abilities; an opportunity to show off what you have learned, tell us what impacts you have felt from the £1 billion investment and get your words on the interactive wall and the chance to win an iPad!
