Booking: No booking required.

Opening times:
Saturday: 10-4pm

Architect: John Craig (1775)

Information: This ‘A’ listed building is one of the few remaining 18th century merchant’s houses in Glasgow. It was restored by Glasgow Building Preservation Trust and is now owned by the Scottish Civic Trust. Staff will be on hand to talk about the history of the building and the Trust’s work. A rare survival from Glasgow’s 18th century past, the building was in a poor state of disrepair and neglect until a conservation and restoration project by Glasgow Building Preservation Trust saw it transformed into offices in 1997. The offices were designed to be a hub for organisations working in the built environment sector.

Comments: Steep steps from street and inside building. Steward on duty.
