Information:

Information: Situated on the banks of the River Kelvin at Kelvinbridge this building housed the 'Red Hackle' Whisky Company. The blend was bottled and distributed from these premises during 1920's-1960's. Hepburn & Ross owned the company and the building contains many of the unique decorative features from this time including heraldic shields, murals, fireplaces and, we are told, the door from the condemned cell at Newgate Jail in Edinburgh. Off the record I'm sure whisky wasn't the only 'spirit' around!
