Information: Approaching its centenary this lovely library boasts a wealth of interesting features. An Italianate frontage with ornate internal wood panelling and carving is mixed with 'Glasgow style' stained glass. The library has six murals on the walls of the Old Reading Room, painted by students of Glasgow School of Art in 1914. The murals represent: Science, Astronomy, Geography, Poetry, Commerce & Art. The library offers all standard services including Real Learning facilities.
