Information: Tells the story of the people and city of Glasgow from 1750 to the end of the 20th century. Explore the city’s social history through a wealth of historic artefacts, paintings, prints and photographs. A wonderful insight into how Glaswegians lived, worked and played. Red Road Flats Legacy project - New for 2011. Our Doors Open Day programme will look at the Red Road Legacy project, an exciting new piece of work looking at the Red Road Flats in Balornock. On the day we will have: Moving Generations - a talk on how Glaswegians coped with moving from their “cosy” single-end to spacious living in flats such as the Red Road The Red Road Legacy - hear from one of the Curators involved in the project who will speak about the background to the legacy and about museum collecting. Red Road Films - There will be showings of films relating to the Red Road Legacy Project.
