Information: When the Glasgow Art Club purchased two adjacent house in Bath Street in 1892 the conversion to a clubhouse was entrusted to the architectural practice of John Honeyman and Keppie in which Mackintosh was a draughtsman. When the clubhouse was opened in June 1893 John Keppie was hailed in the national and local press as the designer. But was he? A Glasgow journal published a page of designs signed by Mackintosh. So, was he the designerand were the drawings for a frieze translated into stencils and paint? Presentation by Dr. James Macauley of the Glasgow Art Club.
