Information: Scottish Ballet’s National HQ provides the Company with state-of-the-art space from which they produce and tour large-scale, professional ballet across Scotland and beyond; includes rehearsal studios, wardrobe and technical workshops. NB. Watch from home! LIVE WEB STREAM from Tramway rehearsal studio at 12.15pm on Saturday 17th September. Scottish Ballet moved to its new home, designed by award-winning Malcolm Fraser Architects, in 2009. The building, an extension of the existing Tramway, replaces a derelict area. It is on three levels: comprising a large workshop area on the ground floor which has within it a double height section for maintenance, preparation and storage of sets and lighting equipment. Around this portion, at first floor level, wraps wardrobe and administration areas. Sitting above at second floor level are the three large rehearsal studios and health and fitness areas. The Headquarters provide inspirational collaborative work to be created in a unique multi-arts production and presentation centre that is unrivalled in the UK.
