Information: Community Action Team staff from Land and Environmental Services at Glasgow City Council will lead this fascinating Heritage Walk through the historic Queens Park. Saturday and Sunday, 12noon and 2pm each day. Queen's Park is a beautiful Paxton creation which offers something for everyone. The Glasshouses feature a fine collection of sub-tropical plants and flowering and foliage plants. The nursery also houses a Zen garden, ponds, tropical fish, exotic birds and an excellent reptile house. The Council's Park Initiative is centred on twinning Glasgow's Parks and Schools with countries of the Commonwealth as part of the introduction to and legacy of the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
