City Centre Sightseeing Tour and FREE Shuttle Buses for 2011


Open-Top City Centre Bus Tour

On Saturday 17th September your can be transported through seven centuries of Glasgow’s architectural history on our special City Sightseeing bus (£4 pp).  A ticket will entitle you to hop on and hop off at any of the six special stops.  You can  visit  Doors Open Day venues throughout the city centre.
The bus will depart from the front of the City Chambers on George Square at the following times:
10:00  11:00  12:00  and  14:00  15:00  16:00.

Please note - tickets cannot be used on regular City Sightseeing services, This is a special Doors Open Day event ticket. 
Disabled access is very limited on these older-style buses.

West side of George Square (1):  George Street:  North Frederick Street:  Cathedral Street:  Castle Street:  High Street (2)  Gallowgate:  London Road: St Andrew’s Square (3):  St Andrews Street:  Saltmarket:  Trongate (4):  Stockwell Street:  Howard Street:  Dunlop Street:  Clyde Street:  York Street (5):  Argyle Street: Hope Street:   St Vincent Street:  Douglas Street (6):  Sauchiehall Street:  Blythswood Street:  West George Street:  then return to George Square.

EASTERHOUSE SHUTTLE BUS

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 17th and 18th September

A bus will leave from in front of the City Chambers on George Square on the hour from 10.00am until 3.00pm on both Saturday and Sunday.  This bus will transport you to  the historic Provan Hall.  Take a tour and enjoy the activities laid on at Provan Hall. Then you can hop on the Discover bus to experience buildings and landmarks, old and new, familiar and unfamiliar as they are brought to life by well-known historians and story-telling artists.

Departs Provan Hall:  11.00am & 1.30pm

Castlemilk Stables depart - 11.00, 14.05 and 16.00

SUNDAY: George Square - depart 10.45 and 12.30
Castlemilk Stables depart - 12.00 and 14.00
