Photographic Competition - "Your Doors Open Day"
Glasgow Doors Open Day gives the public free access to hundreds of fascinating buildings across the city, some of which are only open to the public for this event. We would like to see "Your Doors Open Day" photographs taken over the period of the Built Heritage Festival.
We want you to capture what Doors Open Day 2010 means to you!
Please submit entries with a suitable caption electronically in JPEG format to info@gbpt.org or in hard copy to GBPT, 42 Miller Street, G1 1DT no later than 12noon on Friday 1st October 2010. It would help if you could email a low resolution JPEG and if shortlisted we will ask for a full size image. Maximum of 5 images per person.
This year we have three categories for our Photography Competition: -
A) - Over 18’s
B) - 12 to 18’s
C) - Under 12’s
There are wonderful prizes –
For the over 18’s - an overnight stay for 2 guests including Full Scottish Breakfast at the dazzling, newly renovated, Grand Central Hotel in Hope Street.
For 12 to 18’s – a Family Panto ticket to see “Flo White” at the historic Tron Theatre

For Under 12’s – a Family Panto ticket to see “Snow White” at the fantastic King’s Theatre in Bath Street

Building Baggers
How many buildings can you visit in one weekend?
Win 5 complimentary tickets to Sloans popular Friday night ceilidh in their magnificent Ballroom. Take along 4 friends and have a fun night in fabulous surroundings!
Simply visit as many buildings as you can manage over the Doors Open weekend and ask a member of staff on site to sign your programme – over the relevant entry. Then send us a note of how many buildings you ‘bagged’ by email to rosie@gbpt.org quoting ‘Building Bagging’. We will invite the winner to submit their programme for verification. In the event of a draw, a tie-break question will determine the winner. Good Luck! Click on the image below to go to Sloans website.
Note: only bona fide visits qualify. Running into a building, bagging a signature and running out is not acceptable – staff will be asked only to sign for legitimate visitors.
