News
The King's Theatre is opening on Saturday of the Doors Open Weekend and is offering free but ticketed guided tours of the Theatre. Check out the Buildings section, Central Glasgow for full details, including how to book. Many thanks go to The Ambassador Theatre Group for offering and arranging this access to one of Glasgow's favourite theatres!
Building No. 88 - Hazelwood School has been shortlisted in the World Architecture Festival Award!
The Doors Open Day special discount offered at each of the following establishments is now available from Monday 15th through to Sunday 21st September: Arta, Capitol, Catch22/Mine, Committee Room 9, Corinthian, Salon, Tusk, The Loft/Grosvenor Cinema.

Changes to Buildings
Building No. 131 - St Bride's Episcopal Church will not be open on Saturday morning. Opening hours are now Sat & Sun 1-4pm.
Building No. 119 - id Partnership due to unforeseen circumstances this building will be open on Saturday from 10am until 1.00pm, and not 10am until 4pm as advertised.
Building No. 49 - The Trades Hall of Glasgow is now only opening on Sunday 21st September from 10-4.
Building No. 24 - Glasgow Film Theatre please note that this building is open on Sunday only from 11-2. It is not open on Saturday as advertised in the brochure.
Building No. 109 - The Fotheringay Centre in the brochure this building is located in Glasgow West, please note that this is incorrect the building is located in Glasgow South.
Building No. 32 - Hutcheson's Hall will not now open over the weekend due to circumstances beyond our control. The events that were to take place in the Hall during the week will now take place in The Court Room at The Corinthian, 191 Ingram Street. Many thanks to the G1 Group for so generously stepping in at the 11th hour and offering us The Court Room without charge.
Changes to Events
Lighting Up the City - Short evening stroll billed in the Doors Open Day brochure as happening on Saturday 20th at 8pm is going to take place on Sunday at 8pm not on Saturday.
Clyde Tunnel - Holdyourbreath has, due to circumstances beyond our control unfortunately had to be cancelled.
Walmer Crescent walking tour (Sun 11.00am) will leave from outside Cessnock Underground station located at the east side of Walmer Crescent.
Risky Business: Understanding Buildings at Risk Tuesday 16th 1.30-2.30 - this will now take place in The Court Room at The Corinthian, 191 Ingram Street and not at Hutcheson's Hall as advertised.

Additional attractions
Speirs Wharf Boats Open Day - In addition to the Canal Boat trips on Saturday 20th Glasgow Canal Regeneration have organised a 'Boats Open Day' where you will feature the Seewoo Dragon Boat Race, Canoe Polo, and Come & Try Sailing Taster Sessions running between 11 and 3.00pm. This will be an exciting day out by the water! No booking required
The National Trust for Scotland - Traditional Stonemasonry Display & Demonstration - On Friday 19th September there will be an exciting opportunity to see a small team of professional craftspeople demonstrate traditional techniques and tools of stonemasonry. Your questions will be answered and there will be some limited opportunity for you to try your hand at the techniques being demonstrated. No booking required, just go along to Glasgow Green beside the People's Palace and the Doulton Fountain between 10am and 4pm.
Victorian Walkabout
A new walk through Kelvingrove Park has been organised to complement the Park Rangers' History & Heritage Walk. Leaving at 12.15 on both Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September you can join costumed actors as they take you round the Park discussing the historical characters. No need to book, just turn up and enjoy!
